and WOW are they different than anything I have used. Right out of the box I was a second slower than with the TSW pedals. They are going to take alot of getting used to. I do like them, as I ran about 50 laps at Richmond and found out how to calibrate to my liking and how much pressure I wanted to put down on the brake to make them work. It is just way different, feels like your pushing against a wall, there is virtually no pedal travel, very little anyway, and it's all pressure, just takes some getting used to how much pressure you want to have to exert.

Honestly at first I thought I had made a huge mistake in ordering them....Rob, read the guide before even trying to use them. Make sure they do not move on the floor, I had to use zip ties and anchor them to the cockpit I have. Because I am short, I had to also add a 1/2 inch block of wood to the heel plate so I wasn't pushing with my toes lol.
I have to go to my son's baseball party from 6:30 to 8:30....but will be on later tonight. Good Luck to the Pro guys that are racing tonight!!

You got the CST's with the super stiff upgrade sounds like. I didnt like them either. Just run the regular stiff upgrade and youll like it better. Pretty sure he sends the parts with the pedals to make it like that.
Also did you get the F1 pedals? If so, I didnt like them either. lol The suspended ones are what I have.

Real nice set of pedals Steve, I'm sure you'll get them set up with the feel you want.
What happen to your ECCI stuff Dave? Do you like the Cannon pedals better?
Here's a picture of my racing rig, I use a G25 with ECCI pedals that I got from a friend of mine.
You'll get a laugh at this story Dave, these pedals use to belong to your buddy Rick Davis, they lost calibration for some reason, so he made a couple of useless attempts to fix them, couldn't get them correct so gave up and put them in a closet to collect dust, after about 6 months of no use, I offered to take a look at them and he said that he couldn't fix them even with the diagram and specs that ECCI sent him and he was an electrician at one time so he didn't see how I could do anything with them , so I laughed and then offered him $150 for the pedals and told him I would be willing to take a chance that I could fix them.
I wrote ECCI and received the info I needed, 15 minutes later, I'm racing with them and they have been perfect ever since. He kinda hinted around that he wanted to give my money back, I laughed again............lol. I love these things, they have such a great feel and have never lost calibration since I've had them, they are awesome!

Tracy - your office looks a little like mine lol, I will send a pick of it when I get home from work. I do have the F1 super stiff pedals like Dave said. I think the regular stiff one's would be fine. I didn't want the "hanging" pedals, I like the ones I have, they are just to darn stiff. The other thing I figured out last night was in the calibration...just took me some messing with them to find the right spot. One reason why I was so slow is I miss calibrated the gas pedal. I was only getting like 80% throttle response when I was all the way to the stop. Once I figured that out things got a little better.

After more extensive testing I have found yet another issue. If your using a TSW (at least in my case) the wheel is not staying calibrated. It's not enough to throw me way off which is why it took so long to figure this out, but after running some at Atlanta I was like why am I running a .8xx in one set of laps, then running .2xx's in another. I re-calibrated everything from Windows into iracing and had same results.
When the pedals in the TSW are unplugged you need a null plug to keep the wheel from going nuts. With the newer TSW it is much more subtle than with the older one's.
Todd is sending me a null cable which should fix this issue. I know a few of you have ordered these pedals and I'm not sure what wheels you all are using. If your using TSW (new or old) be sure to get the null plug.

Tracy,
LMAO couldnt have happened to a nicer guy. You came out on top of that one for sure. I dont know how you can race with them dogs laying around all over the place.
Steve,
Good find on the null thing. Dont forget there is a slider in the sim now for the brakes. If your locking them up early increase the number on the slider. If your not stoping soon enough then put in a smaller number. With my CST with the reg stiff upgrade Im at 1.2 to 1.5 but is going to be different for every one.

I was talking to Steve about this last night. The pedals are initially too hard, so no pressure adjustment in sim will help.

Tracy,
I dont know how you can race with them dogs laying around all over the place.
Here's my solution Dave, I just stack them on top of one another, saves space....lol.

I'm glad you said something, with the slider within the sim it says to set it at zero with a load cell pedal. I wonder if that would fix the braking issue all together, I though it was all in the calibration.

Tracing them dogs are awesome. I have two chocolate labs and a greater swiss mountain dog.....none are allowed upstairs though.

Our dogs are like our kids, and we are very strict with them and don't spoil them a bit.............lol. If your not careful, they will take over your house, and that just can't be allowed.

Ok, got em working correctly with the wheel. Thank You Willis and Steve G for confirming what I was thinking with leaving the TSW pedals hooked up and just setting to the side and calibrating with the CST pedals. This worked perfectly. Steering is right back to normal and I adjusted the brake and actually am getting used to it. Just gave it a little more throw and found how to create a "dead spot".
I rest my foot on the brake while driving and without the dead spot it apply brake on the straights. I then flipped the gas pedal upside down to give me more pedal (on my foot) and added some wood to the heel plate for the brake. Ran my fastest laps so far at Michigan in the Nationwide with these pedals. Gas is actually much more responsive to input than the TSW pedals.
Here are some pics of the setup...I am going to drill some holes in the sides of the CST base so that I can screw mount the pedals to the Obutto chassis. This will eliminate the zip ties that are now keeping he pedals in place.
