Just bought a copy of Windows 7 Professional. Installed it on my laptop and man it is sweet. I have not really done anything with it so far, but it is much faster than Vista Ultimate. Web browsing and setup on my home network was a snap.

I have yet to venture up to the racing computer to install it, anyone else get this yet and if so, are you using on your gaming computer?

Yes yes and yes. 64bit version of the release candidate. Been using it for quite some time 3 months or so on my race rig and daughters computer cause it was free. Figured Id buy the pro version after Christmas.

No issues what so ever with iR,TS,Ventrilo, ect. Not much faster then Vista64 was but maybe a slight bit.

I've been messing with it, liked it so much I went up and installed it on racing computer. Dowinloading all the iracing stuff now, then gonna test in race mode. Anything I need to know Dave?

No was plug and play for me.

I talked with several others using W7 RC before I did it. Wouldnt go back. Some of the UI is a bit different but a savy guy like you should have zero issues. It even found the proper drivers for my video card with out me looking for it. I was impressed.

When it was first out there were a few driver issues but most all the vendors have geared up and have them posted now.

Yup, have it up and running on the racing machine and it looks fantastic. Pages load much faster and I was even able to run iracing in a more detailed resolution, not sure why but that's what the sim chose and it looks great.

Only issue I have is that it wants to update the vid card driver automatically but is failing on the install. Just haven't had the time to look into it, but even at that, everything seems to run better.

It was much easier to set up sharing files across my home network from laptop to racing machine. Still alot to explore, but so far it seems to be the best Windows has put out to date.
