Default Kelly The King of Vegas

Viva LasVegas was the setting for this weeks race. As the drivers unloaded and made their way to the track Magic Mike would have the fast car in the practice session. Mid pack runner Holzwarth looked as if he had a horse that would run with the big boys this week turning the second fastest lap in practice. After the crews had tuned the trucks in it would be Bobby Terrell that would win the pole position with Mike Grandy starting second.

With many of the series regulars not in attnedance this week the field was a bit smaller than usual but managed 16 trucks. The green flag would fly and drivers were off and running. The draft proved to be strong and some of the cars that were tight were loose as all get out in traffic. Grandy dropped back to try and get a handle on his truck and in doing so got loose and into the wall. When he came off the wall it just so happened Holzwarth was beside him. The two made contact and Holzwarth ended up in the wall with a destroyed truck. Reseting the truck would not work and Holzwarth was down for the count. Up front there was a great race shaping up between Mike Kelley and Bobby Terrell.

The only race caution was brought out when last weeks winner Brett Molzhan got into Rick Thompson as he was driving by when Brett entered the track form the pit exit. This caught Steve Ritter a lap down as he had just pitted under green. Ritters truck was great and he ran Kelly hard hoping for a caution so he could get back on the lead lap. Kelley did a great job keeping Ritter at bay. With the laps winding down and Bobby chomping at the bit to get a shot at Mike, Ritter eased out of the throttle and let the two leaders battel it out. There were just not enough laps for Bobby to get the job done. Congratulations to Mike Kelley for win!
